The Simple Solution To Being In Charge Of Your Emotions

When there is fluctuation in the mind, there seems to be frustration in the physiology of a man (human).

There is a saying that, "frustration begets anger and anger begets aggression." Life is full of frustration and it is when one realises this fact that one would be able to manage it.

Sometimes, it feels like your effort and action are not yielding the expected result of your hard work, whereby causing you to be frustrated.

GET MOTIVATED TO COOK

All organisms need intake to survive, for human being, it is food and water. When we go without food for days, we understand by experience the work food does in the body. To eat is easier, most fun thing to do, gives you energy and you soon jack up. Cooking it becomes a tug of war especially when you are tired and had a busy day.

You start looking at soaking garri and sleep , yet you know you won't derive all the joy needed from it. Stressless cooking gives partial satisfaction or total unsatisfaction. The stress might not be of your own sweat, it doesn't even matter.

LES VAGUES DE LA MER EPISODE 8

EPISODE 8

I informed Debby I was going out and I dashed out soon enough. I couldn’t wait to call mom’s driver, I resolved to taking a taxi in front of the house. While I stood, scouting around for a taxi, Mrs Ibrahim’s car pulled over before me, I greeted and looked away.

“Is your mummy now back?” She said as she tried to loosen the sit belt across her chest.

I acted deaf and walked a bit forward to control myself, I must not talk or I’d be rude.

“Joy, did you copy that?”

A POEM BY PRECIOUS DEJI-OMOLERE

THE SKY ABOVE ME

The roof above me
The sky above me
The day before me
The future before me
The stress in me
The pain on me
None was as blue,
As the sky always due
It gives me ceasefire
I know, it's no liar
It is my starting point
It is well spread
I'll go with the blue
Not minding my nature.

LES VAGUES DE LA MER EPISODE 7

EPISODE 7

All the same, I thought about reasoning with him. He must have had a long day, trying to save the family and reaching mom. Looking at the love we shared in the family, this must be a trauma to him.

I couldn’t sleep, I started developing headache, and was running temperature. I stood up from the bed to the standing mirror just to see my eyes as red as fire. I knew it must be by dint of my restlessness, I was fortunate to get some sleep early enough.

LES VAGUES DE LA MER EPISODE 6

Episode 6

"Can I come in?" Mrs Ibrahim asked like a frail child that was just recovering from malaria.

"Entrez." (Come in) I gestured and she smiled. She was one of those that found my love for French so funny and would often send Mary off to my room when she disturbs her, Mary would come in, jumping up and giggling. I know the next thing she was going to say 'Mom said you should teach me French.' Not until recently she stopped coming, because of the masqueraded misunderstanding that I didn’t know about.

LES VAGUES DE LA MER EPISODE FIVE

Hearing that engendered a deluge of boiling water running down through my innermost, that I could only react with anger. I rolled my red eyes to Mrs Ibrahim in utter visible bitterness, words travelled fast from my belly up to my lips, then I corked up the words that were ready to force out like a bullet, by abruptly closing my mouth. I saved myself a hot slap and more so I saved the day.

LES VAGUES DE LA MER (THE WAVES OF THE SEA) EPISODE 4

EPISODE FOUR

Hello...Hello..."

I couldn't hear a thing again. For the first time, I appreciated Network Providers for network failure, this gave me the chance of holding all the aces in this saga, or should I rather say I was given an escape to disrobe myself off a tattered suit of lies. I told myself I would bring my integrity back to heel. 'je ne vais pas mentir (I am not going to lie)' I said.

My phone rang again when I had not decided on what to say, I knew the best-laid plans of mice and men would not save me from this soup. I silently prayed I don't ruin the whole stuff. I picked when it rang the second time.

"What's wrong na, why ain't you picking? Well, tell mom when she gets back that my phone and Cynthia's phone was stolen yesternite in class with our bag and everything."

A Poem By Otolorin Olajide

Life is waiting for you to blossom, you cannot be mute and make wave.

As they say, ‘self-confidence leads to self-esteem.' You’ve got to be who you really are.

You have it in you. The universe doesn’t care whether you are a man or a woman but,

It is a perfect harmony,

When the Mind, Spirit and Body are in great symphony.

Though life is full of cacophony,

that doesn’t rule out the great gift we inherited from our progeny.

And sometimes, it seems like the om-ni(universe),

can not deal with a person's mutiny,

Whereby causing a man with no penny to feel like a punny.
 Make every minute count.

LES VAGUES DE LA MER (EPISODE 3)

EPISODE THREE

I know my mom can be full of surprises, positive ones though, but I never saw this coming. If my family would rise from the dust, dust off the rubbish, pick up and bounce again, I didn’t know.

“Can you talk to your mom to please come back home?” Dad asked.

To me, it was like an appeal, I could see little formation of tears in dad’s eyes, I planned crying too but who will eventually console who?
